What Is A Multi-station Progressive Die?

The multi-station progressive die, a type of cold stamping die, possesses unique characteristics. It ingeniously divides the required stamping process into several equidistant stations, each meticulously configured with specific operations that collectively execute a particular stage of the part's fabrication.

Under the precise control of an automatic feeding mechanism, the raw material (such as strip or coil stock) advances by exact increments; after undergoing precise stamping operations at each successive station, the finished stamped part is produced. Notably, multi-station progressive dies not only facilitate the continuous execution of complex processes-such as blanking, bending, and deep drawing-but also accommodate parts with diverse shapes and numerous processing steps, enabling a single die to serve multiple functions.
