Transfer press tooling should be timed from pickup to landing, not only from press stroke to press stroke. The part needs a stable gripping area, predictable orientation, and clearance over the lower tool before the next press closes. A transfer production press tool may use sensors for part presence and finger position, but the nests must still locate the part mechanically. Line balance is reviewed so one difficult operation does not create repeated stops or rushed handling. Acceleration and deceleration matter because a flexible panel can shift even when the final landing position appears correct at low speed.
